WHY? Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share, and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.
WHAT? The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

HOW? All financial companies need to share customers’ personal information to run their everyday business. In the section below, we list the reasons financial companies can share their customers’ personal information, the reasons KeyPoint Credit Union and our affiliates choose to share, and whether you can limit this sharing.

WHAT TYPE OF INFORMATION MOBILE/ONLINE BANKING COLLECTS?
How information collected?

Mobile/Online Banking may collect personal information from you, such as your first and last name, address, e-mail, User IDs, telephone number, and social security number when you open a new account or register for other financial services. Device images/videos may be accessed when you deposit a check or use a QR code to make peer to peer payments using Zelle or other payments functionality. Device contacts may be accessed when you make peer to peer payments using Zelle or other payments functionality. Device location may be accessed to detect and prevent card transaction fraud, deposit fraud and also to provide branch and atm locations.

HOW  MOBILE/ONLINE BANKING USES YOUR INFORMATION
What Ways?

(a) General Use. In general, Mobile/Online Banking uses your personal information to respond to your requests as submitted through the Services, to provide you the Services you request, and to help serve you better. Mobile/Online Banking uses your personal information in the following ways:

  • facilitate the creation of, secure and maintain your account;
  • identify you as a legitimate user in Mobile/Online Banking’s system;
  • provide improved administration of the Services;
  • provide the Services you request;
  • improve the quality of experience when you interact with the Services;
  • send you administrative e-mail and/or push notifications, such as security or support and maintenance advisories

(b) Compliance and protection. We may use your personal information to:

  • comply with applicable laws, lawful requests and legal process, such as to respond to subpoenas or requests from government authorities;
  • protect our, your or others’ rights, privacy, safety or property (including by making and defending legal claims);
  • audit our internal processes for compliance with legal and contractual requirements and internal policies;
  • enforce the terms and conditions that govern the Service; and
  • prevent, identify, investigate and deter fraudulent, harmful, unauthorized, unethical or illegal activity, including cyberattacks and identity theft.

(d) Creation of Non-Identifiable Data. Mobile/Online Banking may create de-identified information records from personal information by excluding certain information (such as your name) that makes the information personally identifiable to you. Digital Banking may use this information in a form that does not personally identify you to analyze request patterns and usage patterns to enhance Mobile/Online Banking’s products and services. Mobile/Online Banking reserves the right to use and disclose non-identifiable information to third parties in its discretion.

WHAT WE DO
How does KeyPoint Credit Union protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards, secured files and buildings. We authorize our employees to access your information only when they need it for business purposes, and we require companies that work for us to protect your information.
How does KeyPoint Credit Union collect my personal information? We collect your personal information, for example, when you
• open an account or make deposits or withdrawals from your account
• pay your bills or apply for a loan
• use your credit or debit card
• We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates, or other companies.
Why can’t I limit all sharing? Federal law gives you the right to limit only
• sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes—information about your creditworthiness
• affiliates from using your information to market to you
• sharing for non-affiliates to market to you
State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.
What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else? Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.
DEFINITIONS
Affiliates Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.
• KeyPoint Credit Union’s affiliates are KeyPoint Financial Services, Inc., and Integrated Credit Union Services.
Non-affiliates Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies.
• KeyPoint Credit Union does not share with non-affiliates.
Joint Marketing A formal agreement between non-affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.
• Our joint marketing partners include insurance companies and investment companies.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
California law permits you to opt out of information sharing with joint marketing partners.
