What is TXT KeyPoint?

TXT KeyPoint service enables you to connect to your KeyPoint deposit accounts from a mobile phone through text messaging. If you already use Online Banking, it's another way to receive your account balances and review your most recent account activity, without being tied to your desktop.

Which mobile service providers support TXT KeyPoint?

TXT KeyPoint service works on all major mobile providers in the U.S., including: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Nextel, Sprint, T-Mobile, Metro PCS, Cellular One and many more.

Is there a fee for TXT KeyPoint?

TXT KeyPoint is free to all KeyPoint members enrolled in the Online Banking.  Please note that your mobile carrier may charge you a fee for text messaging.

How many messages will I receive and how long many characters can they be?

You might receive multiple text messages, depending on your number of accounts.  The maximum characters in a text message will not exceed 140.

How do I add or delete a phone number or change/view my PIN?

After logging into TXT KeyPoint, add a phone number by clicking on Add a new device. To delete a phone number, click on the phone number you want to delete and follow the prompts. To change or view your PIN, click on the phone number then view or make changes in the PIN section and click Save Changes.

Can I receive text messages to both my phone and email?

Yes. A single phone can be registered multiple times with different PINs for a given account to return different message selections (account summary, transactions, or both) and different formats (SMS messages or email).  For example, you could register a phone to return messages via phone for PIN 1111 and via email for PIN 2222.

Can I receive text messages updating me on my loan balance or activity?

No. TXT KeyPoint only enables you to connect to your KeyPoint deposit accounts.

How quickly will I receive a text message response?

Messages typically are received within seconds, although delays of several minutes or more may be experienced depending on your wireless carrier.

How do I cancel TXT KeyPoint service?

Log into the web-based text messaging interface and delete your phone information.

I changed my Online Banking password and now I can’t receive text messages.

If you change your Online Banking password you will be required to enter your login and new password via the text message interface to continue to receive text messages for your balance or transactions. This security feature is for your own protection.

Is my transaction secure?

Yes. Transactions are fully encrypted and text messages contain no sensitive information. For example, account numbers are never displayed via text and instead are represented by the mobile account nicknames that you specify during enrollment.
