        VISA Gift Card Faqs

         

         

        I purchased a VISA Gift Card from one of your branches; do I have to activate the card?
        Your card is already active and ready for use.  We recommend you register your card.   Registration of your card IS required for card replacement should the card be lost or stolen.  Unregistered Gift Cards cannot be replaced.

        How do I register my card?
        You can register your card by logging on to www.mygiftcardmanager.com and following the appropriate links for registration.  You will be asked to enter the card number, the three-digit security code on the back of the card and the last four digits of your telephone number.  You can also check your card balance and view transaction history via the website.

        What’s the balance on my VISA Gift Card?
        You can check the balance on your card by calling the number on the back of your card (866) 586-4438 or by logging on the website at www.mygiftcardmanager.com.   Your card must be registered on the website to access the information.  If you have not already registered your card on this website, follow the appropriate links for registration.  Once registered you can check your card balance and view transaction history.

        Does my VISA Gift Card expire?
        Yes, VISA Gift Cards have an expiration date located on the front of the card.

        Can my VISA Gift Card be used at an ATM?
        VISA Gift Cards can be used anywhere VISA debit signature transactions are accepted.  Authorization requests are honored only up to the balance on the card.  Gift Cards cannot be used at ATMs to obtain cash.

        Is there an age restriction on who can purchase or use a VISA Gift Card?
        No.  There is no age restriction.

        What dollar amounts do you have available to purchase?
        You can choose the dollar amount of the Gift Card from $10 to $500 dollars.

        Where can I use my VISA Gift Card?
        Cards may be used for online purchases and anywhere VISA debit signature transactions are accepted.  Authorization requests are honored only up to the balance available on the card.  Swipe the card, select the Credit option and sign for the transaction.

        The balance on my card should be higher than what it currently shows?
        You can view the transaction history for your card by logging on to www.mygiftcardmanager.com or you can call (866) 586-4438.  If you have not registered your card on this website follow the links to register your card.  If your card has not been used for a 12 month period, a monthly maintenance fee is assessed until there is activity on the card or there is no balance.

        Is there any fee associated with the card?  If so, what is the fee?
        After 12 months of inactivity, cards are assessed a monthly maintenance fee until there is activity on the card or there is no balance.  Please refer to the Terms and Conditions disclosure received with the VISA Gift Card.

        What does it cost to purchase a VISA Gift Card?
        There is a $3.85 fee plus the dollar amount of the card.

        Why am I being assessed a maintenance fee on my VISA Gift Card?
        After 12 months of inactivity, cards are assessed a monthly maintenance fee  until there is activity on the card or there is no balance.

        My card was lost/stolen what do I need to do to get it replaced?
        Assuming you registered your card on the website www.mygiftcardmanager.com, you can contact (866)586-4438 and report your card lost or stolen.  They will assist you with your request.  If your card was not registered, your card will not be replaced.

        Do I or can I get a PIN number for my card?
        PINs are not available for Gift Cards and the cards cannot be used to obtain cash at ATMs.  Cards are accepted anywhere VISA debit signature transactions are accepted.  Swipe  the cards, select the Credit option and sign for the transaction.

        What should I do if my gift card is declined?
        You can view the transaction history for your card by logging on to www.mygiftcardmanager.com or you can call (866) 586-4438.

        Can I add additional funds to the card?
        No, once the balance of the card is depleted it should be destroyed.

        Is there a limit on the number of cards I can purchase?
        No, you can purchase as many as you need.

        I am not a member of KeyPoint Credit Union.  Am I able to purchase a card at one of your branches?
        If you are a member of another credit union that is part of the Shared Branching Network, you can purchase a VISA Gift Card at one of our KeyPoint CU Service Center branches.
