What is Live Chat?

Live chat is a free online service that allows you to have questions answered by a live representative 24/7 x 365.

How do I initiate a chat?

It’s simple. Log onto www.keypointcu.com and click on the link entitled “Chat Now.”

  1. The “Chat Now” link is located in the upper left hand corner below the Online Banking login.
  2. A dialog box will open requesting your name, email address, phone number, and what you would like to chat about. 
  3. Complete the information requested and click on the submit button.
  4. The next available representative will greet you and you may begin your chat session.

Do I need to disclose any information in order to participate in Live Chat?

We will ask you for your name, email address and telephone number to engage in a chat regarding general information.

Is Live Chat secure? 

Yes, information transmitted on our chat service is encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) with 128-bit encryption.

Will the chat representative disclose any of my account information?

Your account information is secure.  Our operators will only disclose account information to you after you have passed the verification process.  If you do not pass the verification process, no account information will be disclosed.

Is there a fee to use this service? 

No, there is no fee to use this service.

What happens if there are no representatives available?

You will see a message indicating that our representatives are unavailable at the moment. However, you can send a message and the next available operator will reply.

What happens if I am accidentally disconnected?

If you are disconnected, simply send a new chat request by clicking on the Chat Now button. Or, you can wait for a representative to contact you back with the email address you provided before the chat session began.

How do I end the chat?

To end a chat, click on the “Close” button.  You may be asked to complete our optional exit survey to help us better serve you.
