        Assemblymember Fong selects KeyPoint Credit Union for Small Business of the Year Award.

        SANTA CLARA, CA – (June 15, 2011) –  On Monday, June 6, 2011,  Assemblymember Paul Fong awarded KeyPoint Credit Union the Assembly District 22's Small Business of the Year Award during the California Small Business Day™ before 75 State legislators. The event was held at the Sacramento Convention Center.  KeyPoint Credit Union representatives were present to receive this prestigious award; Jeff Peabody, Vice-President of Marketing, Doron Noyman, Director of Business Development, and Christian Novak, Business Development Manager.

        A few weeks prior, Assemblymember Fong presented KeyPoint Credit Union with Assembly District 22's Small Business of the Year Award along with Santa Clara Mayor, Jamie Matthews on Friday, May 20th at 2:30 p.m. The presentation took place at KeyPoint Credit Union headquarters located at 2805 Bowers Avenue, Santa Clara, CA before approximately 26 invited guests.

        Assemblymember Fong presented the award to KeyPoint Credit Union, President and CEO, Tim Kramer. He commended KeyPoint Credit Union for being a true example of a leader in the local community and was amazed by the level of commitment KeyPoint has dedicated to helping improve the lives of people within Santa Clara County.

        Santa Clara Mayor, Jamie Matthews, also addressed the audience and commended KeyPoint Credit Union for all it does to help the community. He said, “When Assemblymember Fong asked me to recommend a local business, KeyPoint Credit Union was the first name that came to my mind.” He thanked KeyPoint for helping schools, education, and other programs in the city and stated, "I'm very proud to have such an outstanding business in our city and community."

        Tim Kramer, KeyPoint Credit Union CEO and President, thanked Assemblymember Fong and Santa Clara Mayor, Jamie Matthews, for this great honor and told everyone that the credit union's philosophy and mission is to improve the lives of people in the community by providing great financial solutions and taking a very active part in the community. He thanked the employees of KeyPoint Credit Union for their hard work in helping communities and people to better their lives.

        After the presentation, Jeff Peabody, KeyPoint Credit Union Vice-President of Marketing, Business Development and e-Services, who MCed the event asked if anyone would like to make any closing remarks. Steve Van Dorn, President & CEO of the Santa Clara Chamber of Commerce and Convention-Visitors Bureau, took the opportunity to address the audience. He expressed that every time he needed an organization to get involved to help the community, KeyPoint Credit Union was their first stop. He also stated that "KeyPoint Credit Union is an example of business that gets involved and makes things happen."

        After the presentation Assemblymember Fong and Santa Clara Mayor, Jamie Matthews stayed to talk with the guests present and enjoyed the light refreshments.
